The series.

The Man Who Died at Poitiers is the first campaign of The Unwritten Man.

It is not the first one he has fought. It will not be the last.

What he is doing in Gascony in 1355 he has done before, in other armies, for reasons the book gives you and reasons it does not. History kept no record of him. That was the arrangement, and he worked at it.

Where he surfaces next is not settled. The list finds out first, and has some say in it.
